Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot

Ginyu Force Tryouts

By
Jarrod Garripoli
Objective Reward
Defeated the revived Ginyu Force 38,616 EXP, D Medal (x1), Card 015 (x1), Fancy Earrings (x1), Guldo’s Soul Emblem, Recoome’s Soul Emblem, Burter’s Soul Emblem, Jeice’s Soul Emblem

You need to be playing as Gohan in order to begin this substory. This substory only appears if you use the Dragon Balls to wish back the Ginyu Force and can be started as soon as Intermission 2. You will find the Ginyu Force in the Southeast Mountains Area. While there are four members of the Ginyu Force present when you begin this substory, you only have to fight three of them, specifically Recoome, Burter and Jeice. Three-on-one is a bit unfair, so make sure you grab two support characters for this battle. Of the three, Recoome is probably the most dangerous, as his Eraser Gun has a wide area of attack and Recoome Kick is pretty quick.

(1 of 2) Keep up the pressure, offensively, to bring down Recoome quickly

Keep up the pressure, offensively, to bring down Recoome quickly (left), Your support characters can help in keeping enemies stunlocked a bit longer (right)

Concentrate all of your attacks on Recoome first to get rid of him, then you can start working on Burter. Note that Jeice typically stays back and fires off Ki blasts, with his most potent one being Crusher Ball. Burter’s attacks mostly consist of melee ones, like Mach Kick and Sonic Slash. The latter of the two is what you want to watch out for, since it’s a very quick attack that is hard to dodge. Once you get rid of Burter, Jeice is easy to bring down.
