Tien is no different than during the main story mission
During Survival 101, you will have to do battle with Tien, Yamcha and Krillin in order to continue the story. After defeating Tien, you will unlock this substory, where you will need to defeat Tien again, but he will be joined by Chiaotzu. Fighting multiple opponents, especially non-generic ones, can be annoying in this game, so some strategy will be needed. Of your two opponents for this substory, Chiaotzu is the easier target, due to having less health than Tien. Concentrate on him first and try to keep an eye out for Tien’s attacks, especially those not telegraphed by indicators. Other than Dodon Ray, it doesn’t seem like Chiaotzu has any other Super Attacks. You likely want to avoid doing full combos and just chip away at his health until he is defeated, to avoid getting caught by any stray attacks. Once Chiaotzu is finished, the fight against Tien is the same as during the main story mission.
