Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot

Change of Heart

Jarrod Garripoli
Objective Reward
Defeated Babidi’s minions again 240,307 EXP, D Medal (x3), Ultra Power Protein (x1), Pui Pui’s Soul Emblem, Yakon’s Soul Emblem

You need to be playing as Goku to begin this substory, plus Babidi’s Back! needs to have been completed. You will find this substory in the Great West Desert Area. After foiled by Gohan before, Babidi continues his quest for world domination, this time with more of his minions. This will lead to two battles, the first of which is against Pui Pui and two nameless minions. Before focusing on Pui Pui, try to quickly take out the minions, as they can be annoying. When they’re finished, you can concentrate on Pui Pui, who isn’t much. The only Super Attack he has is called Sniper Shot, where he just shoots a Ki blast at you.

(1 of 2) Sniper Shot will be split in three after a short way into the fight

Sniper Shot will be split in three after a short way into the fight (left), Be mindful that Yakon can absorb some of Goku’s Ki attacks (right)

Note that as you lower his health, Pui Pui will begin firing three Ki blasts with each Sniper Shot, plus he has a surge mode where all he does is Sniper Shot. Other than that, though, he’s pretty easy. With one fight down, you will be forced to do battle with Yakon next. He will be by himself and is pretty much the same as before. He has a nameless charge maneuver that knocks you back, as well as the ability to absorb Ki attacks. This is random, though, so you need to keep an eye out for it, although it seems he can’t absorb Spirit Bombs. His main attack is Cross Claw, where Yakon sends a bunch of projectiles in your direction. He also has a surge mode, where he’ll perform Cross Claw a few times in a row. Just like with Pui Pui, Yakon is a fairly easy fight. Beat both sets of enemies to beat the substory.
