Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate

Iodrome

By
Vincent Lau

Iodrome, following the patterns of most smaller Bird Wyverns, is the alpha of the smaller Ioprey, and is distinguished by its larger size and impressive crest. Its bright coloration is indicative of its poisonous nature. Make sure you bring Antidotes!

**Area** **Start** **Roam** **Rest**
Primal Forest 5 2, 6 9
Volcanic Hollow 2 1, 3, 4 9

Attacks

Bite: Iodrome will bite you in various ways. It cannot bite to the side like Great Jaggi can (or do most all of the attacks Great Jaggi can, for that matter), but it can be incredibly annoying because Iodrome will jump around a lot.

Pin Attack: Iodrome will jump on you, pin you down, and start biting you.

Jump: Iodrome will jump on you and send you flying.

Poison Spit: Iodrome can spit poison, and when it does, the poison will pool and become incredibly large before disappearing. Because it sticks around long after Iodrome does the attack, be careful or else you’ll step into it and get poisoned regardless.

Minion Making: Like the other –dromes, Iodrome will constantly be summoning Ioprey to its side. Similar to Genprey, being mobbed by a bunch of Ioprey can become disastrous. Keep tabs on them, especially if they start spitting poison at you.

Breakable Parts

Crest: Iodrome’s crest will appear to be broken and have bits taken out of it.

Weaknesses

Elemental: Thunder, Water

Status: Blast
