Overview

Neopterons are the insects of Monster Hunter. Much larger than normal insects, with even Konchu, Altaroth, and Bnahabra being longer or taller than a human being, Neopterons now also are home to many boss class monsters, such as the sexually dimorphic Seltas species. Most every Neopteron defends and attacks using powerful stingers and claws, and some are capable of excreting and firing mucus and goo that can inflict statuses like Defense Down and even paralysis.
