Request 92: A Token of Gratitude

By
Vincent Lau

This is a guide for Request 92: “A Token of Gratitude” in Pokémon Legends: "Arceus" IconArceus (PLA).

How to Unlock Request 92

(1 of 2) After beating the main story, look for this request on the blackboard.

You can pick up Request 92 from the blackboard at Galaxy Hall after completing the last story mission, “The Counterpart”.

Speak to Medi at Fieldlands Camp

(1 of 2) Medi is waiting at the Fieldlands Camp.

After receiving the request, chat to Medi from Diamond Clan who’s waiting at the Fieldlands Camp in Obsidian Fieldlands. She’ll describe her experience of being rescued by a Pokémon and believes it might be found in a nearby meadow. She’ll also hand you a clue: a Gracidea flower.

Visit Floaro Gardens

(1 of 2) Location of Floaro Gardens.

The most obvious place to look is Floaro Gardens, located west from the current camp site. You can quickly get there by gliding with "Braviary" IconBraviary. When you reach the meadow in the center, Medi will come along and offer her gratitude to the Pokémon that saved her. This will cause "Shaymin" IconShaymin to show up.

To catch Shaymin, you can either throw a Poké Ball at it and cross your fingers. Or you can send out a Pokémon and weaken it before throwing a ball.

Mythical Pokémon

(1 of 2) We’re imagining Shaymin making a menacing face behind those flowers.

Pokémon Level Type

Shaymin may look small and cute, but it packs a punch. Its Seed Flare deals impressive damage and may lower your defensive stats. It can also use Earth Power to annoy Fire, Poison and Steel-types. Besides that, it can restore its HP with Recover.

For walling purposes, we’d recommend Flying-types. Just be careful when using Flying-type moves, since they’re super-effective. To reduce the chance of Shaymin using Recover and overall make it easier to catch, moves that can inflict paralysis or drowsiness (eg. Thunder Wave, Hypnosis) would be nice.

How to Change Shaymin’s Form

(1 of 2) Use the Gracidea on Shaymin…

During the day, you can use the Gracidea key item received from Medi earlier to transform Shaymin from its current Land form into its more offensively-oriented Sky form.
