Request 109: Eevee's Path of Solitude

By
Vincent Lau

This is a guide for Request 109: “Eevee’s Path of Solitude” in the “Daybreak” DLC for Pokémon Legends: Arceus (PLA).

How to Unlock Request 109

(1 of 2) Heres the guy who gives you more than you bargained for.

After completing Request 102, you can receive 10 requests related to the Path of Solitude–including this request–by speaking to Gared at the Jubilife Village Training Grounds.

1. Participate in the Path of Solitude with Eevee

To complete this request, you must enter cute little Eevee in the Path of Solitude.

Speak to Ingo at the Training Grounds with Eevee as your only party member and choose the “Path of Solitude” option. You can change your party by choosing the “Select Pokémon” option when speaking with Ingo.

Pokémon Level Type
Zoroark (Hisuian) 50 pokemonplatypenormal.pngpokemonplatypeghost.png

For this fight, your Eevee will need to overcome a Hisuian Zoroark by itself. If you read the request description, a clue was provided: Use the opponent’s moves against them. By that, it means your Eevee must have Mimic (select Eevee and choose “Change Moves” if it doesn’t).

Besides that, your Eevee should be around Level 50 for a comfortable time. You can catch high Level Eevee at the Alabaster Icelands (eg. here). If you’re lucky to run into an alpha, even better because they’re Level 60+.

If you have spare Grit items, we’d recommend boosting Eevee’s Effort Levels, especially for HP, Sp. Atk, Sp. Def and Speed. Another helpful move to have is Calm Mind, which boosts Eevee’s offensive and defensive stats.

(1 of 2) Wait for Zoroark to use Snarl.

Wait for Zoroark to use Snarl. (left), Then use Mimic to copy it. (right)

Zoroark only has two moves, but it doesn’t need more to floor your Eevee. Nasty Plot will raise Zoroark’s offensive stats, while Snarl deals Dark-type damage and lowers the opponent’s offensive stats. You want Zoroark to use Snarl, then follow with Mimic so Eevee learns it. Then spam Snarl to hit Zoroark for super-effective damage, while lowering its damage.

If Zoroark opens with Nasty Plot instead of Snarl, use Calm Mind to boost your Sp. Def and bide your time until Zoroark uses Snarl. During other times, if your feel like Zoroark’s Snarl is doing more damage than you’d like, you could use Calm Mind to buff your Sp. Def. Lastly, you can try Agile Style Calm Mind to reset your Sp. Atk and follow up with an unweakened Snarl.

Reward for Request 109

Use those Seeds of Mastery to master moves for future Path of Solitude fights.

For defeating Zoroark, Ingo will give you some rewards such as Exp. Candies or Grit items. Additionally, for your first clear, he’ll add a “Path of Solitude” stamp in Eevee’s Pokédex page.

Show the stamp to Gared to complete this request, earning you:

  • Seed of Mastery x1
  • Exp. Candy S x10
