Request 118: Roserade's Path of Solitude

By
Vincent Lau

This is a guide for Request 118: “"Roserade" IconRoserade’s Path of Solitude” in the “Daybreak” DLC for Pokémon Legends: "Arceus" IconArceus (PLA).

How to Unlock Request 118

After completing Request 108 through Request 117, you can receive 5 additional requests–including this one–from Gared at the Jubilife Village Training Grounds.

1. Participate in the Path of Solitude with Roserade

To complete this request, you must overcome the Path of Solitude with Roserade.

Speak to Ingo at the Training Grounds with Roserade as your only party member and choose the “Path of Solitude” option. You can change your party by choosing the “Select Pokémon” option when speaking with Ingo.

We recommend using the "Roselia" IconRoselia from Request 116 for this challenge. If you followed our advice, it should be Level 60+ with some boosted Effort Levels. However, you’ll need to train Roselia a lot and use a Shiny Stone to evolve it. If you lack a Shiny Stone, you can catch and train an alpha Roserade instead.

Ideally, your Roserade should be Level 75+ with maximum Effort Levels in Sp. Atk and Speed. Its HP and defensive stats don’t matter too much. Also, it needs Stun Spore and Venoshock (select Roserade and go to “Change Moves” if it doesn’t have these).

(1 of 2) Begin by inflicting paralysis with Stun Spore.

Begin by inflicting paralysis with Stun Spore. (left), Then hit Staraptor with two lots of Venoshock, swapping styles if necessary. (right)

The battle plan is simple, but relies on some luck. Start with Agile Style Stun Spore to paralyze "Staraptor" IconStaraptor. Then smack it around with Venoshock, which deals double damage due to paralysis. If you’re lucky, Staraptor may not attack you due to paralysis kicking in and/or because it decides to use Roost to heal.

If you don’t succeed the first time, you can keep retrying the fight and crossing your fingers. Alternatively, you could Level Up Roserade some more and/or boost its HP, Defense and Sp. Def Effort Levels. However, if you’re planning to complete all the requests, you may want to save your resources for other Pokémon that can’t rely on luck.

Reward for Request 118

For clipping Staraptor’s wings, Ingo will give you some rewards such as Exp. Candies or Grit items. Additionally, for your first clear, he’ll add a “Path of Solitude” stamp in Roserade’s Pokédex page.

Show the stamp to Gared to complete this request, earning you:

  • Seed of Mastery x1
  • Exp. Candy XL x1
