Flimsy Axe¶
Tom Nook will give you a recipe for the Flimsy Axe DIY when you donate 2 specimens (bugs, fish or sea creatures) to him.
To craft a Flimsy Axe, you need 5 tree branches and a stone. It is very fragile and will break easily.
The Flimsy Axe will break after a few uses.
Stone Axe¶
To obtain this recipe you’ll need to purchase the Pretty Good Tools Recipes from the Nookstop in Resident Services for 3,000 Nook Miles. To craft the Stone Axe, you’ll need to first craft a flimsy axe and then combine that with 3 pieces of wood. This is a far more durable axe and is also not strong enough to cut down trees so you can chop safely!
Axe¶
To obtain this recipe you’ll need to purchase the Pretty Good Tools Recipes from the Nookstop in Resident Services for 3,000 Nook Miles. To craft the standard iron Axe, you’ll need to first craft a flimsy axe and then combine that with 3 pieces of wood and an iron nugget. This axe is more durable but will also cut down trees if you chop at the same tree three times. This axe shouldn’t be used to collect materials as you run the risk of accidentally cutting down trees.
The Iron Axe is very durable but will also cut down trees permanently!
