Time for More Villagers
Once you’ve built a plot for your Campsite visitor, you’ll be able to help Nook with reserving more land plots for future houses!
Buying Land for Housing Plots
Unfortunately, everything comes at a price with Nook. Even though it would appear that you’re doing him a favor, he still wants to charge you 10,000 Bells for plotting someone else’s house. The upside is that when someone moves in to those plots, you’ll receive some Nook Miles as a thanks!
You can place up to 4 more plots, which will then mean you have 10 spaces for homes on your island. The maximum amount of villagers you can have is 10. You could strive to place all plots down today, 40,000 Bells is easily obtainable. You should try to place as many as you can, since the more residents you have, the more appealing your island becomes! You want your island to be full of life!
How to Get Villagers to Move in?
There are a few ways to find villagers to move into your empty plots:
Wait for Nook to fill the spaces - If you don’t mind who moves in, then you can wait for Nook to automatically fill the homes for you. Each day, an empty plot will be filled and only one home can be sold each day.
Find Villagers on Mystery Islands - You can go out on a mystery tour and find your own villagers! This method is recommended because then you get a chance to choose who comes to your island. This is the best way to find your dream villagers, too.
Wait for Campsite Visitors - You could also wait until there is a visitor in your campsite. You will always have the opportunity to invite campsite visitors to live on your island.
