Diablo 4 Season 1 - Season of the Malignant Start Date¶

The Season 1 start date for Diablo IV has now been announced, and players can expect access to it on July 20th. This was confirmed by Diablo 4’s leads during their livestream on July 6th about post launch content.

While no time of the season launch was directly said, there is mention that the Season 1 Battle Pass begins on July 20, at 10 PT. So, it is highly likely the Battle Pass will kick off around the exact same time as the season launch.

When the new season arrives, expect new Malignant enemies, Malignant hearts, and an item you can use to extract those hearts against corrupted enemies. This will allow you to get the heart and then equip the items like special gems on your gear.

You will also be able to visit special dungeons on the map, which are filled with these corrupted enemies for you to acquire these hearts. All in all, it’s a seasonal piece of content thats looking at ways to upgrade your gear, give you a variation of end game dungeons to grind, and some new foes to encounter to start messing with build ideas and experimentation.
