All Status Effects in Outriders Worldslayer

By
Ben Chard

Outriders Worldslayer is the new expansion to Outriders that was released on June 30th, 2022. As always, you’ll encounter many enemies, all of which can inflict a host of nasty status effects on you. This page will give you all the details you need to know all status effects in Outriders Worldslayer.

What are Status Effects?

Not to be confused with Buffs and Debuffs, status effects can be caused by weapons, abilities or enemy attacks and penalize the player or foe in question. Outriders Worldslayer currently has 8 status effects in the game, and while some of these status effects have a way to remove them, others you will need to deal with until they persist.

It’s important to understand, however, that any enemy or player can only have one stack of a status effect at a time. You’ll want to keep this in mind when playing in a group setting, there’s no need to have three Technomancers all applying Toxic if the enemy can only suffer one stack at a time. Instead, consider having one of the Technomancers inflicting Freeze, that way you get to benefit from both status effects and don’t waste valuable damage.

You can reapply a status effect before it expires by using it again on the enemy, this will rest it’s duration back to maximum. Finally, both you and the enemy can gain resistance to most of the status effects, be it through abilities, mods or natural resistance (in the case of Elites) so if you find yourself struggling with a particular encounter using a specific status effect, consider playing around with your mod loadout.

Status Effect List

Icon Name Effect
Status_Ash.png Ash Stops an enemy for 2.5 seconds
Status_Freeze.png Freeze Stops an enemy for 3.5 seconds
Status_Slow.png Slow Reduces movement and attack speed by 30-75% depending on enemy resistance and mod or skill used
Status_Bleed.png Bleed Deals damage equal to 2.5% of your Ability Power every 0.5 seconds for 5 seconds
Status_Burning.png Burn Deals damage equal to 3.7% of your Ability Power every 0.5 seconds for 6 seconds

In addition to this, there are three further status effects that can be inflicted through abilities or mods:
