Apocalypse Tiers is a new system added into Outriders in the Worldslayer Expansion which was released on June 30th, 2022. It’s essentially an improvement on the World Tier System which was used in the base game. This page will take you through everything you need to know about Apocalypse Tiers.
What Are World Tiers in Outriders
World Tiers was used in the base-game and it allowed players to increase the difficulty up through 15 different levels. This massively increased the difficulty, but as reward the quality of drops was improved which meant there was a much higher chance of acquiring a Legendary.
How To Increase Apocalypse Tiers in Outriders Worldslayer
Apocalypse Tiers is added as an extension to World Tiers, but you’ll need to have access to the Worldslayer DLC in order to advance past Tier 15. Apocalypse Tiers can also be ranked up by playing any type of content available in Outriders whereas World Tiers is only allowed to be activated up until the Worldslayer DLC.
What Are The Apocalypse Tier Rewards in Worldslayer?
Unlike World Tiers, Apocalypse Tiers can go up to Tier 40 and each tier will increase the Enemies Level which means they deal more damage and have a lot more health, so players will need to play more defensively as running and gunning will just result in you dying very quickly. In return, you’ll also gain an increase in your Ascension XP and Loot Rarity Bonus.
However, the main reason to play through the game with Apocalypse Tiers activated is that it’s the only way to acquire Apocalypse Gear which is a new addition to Outriders coming with Worldslayer. Apocalypse Gear cannot be crafted, so you’ll have to hope they drop, but the drop chance of it will be increased the higher your Tier level it is.
It gives your equipment a third mod slot, but the mod it comes with cannot be changed, so if you’re a player that strives to get their class to the highest level possible, then you may have to farm for the same piece of Apocalypse Gear until you get the best possible mod for it.
