Tips

To become a Legend amongst Cooks, you must complete every single Cook Challenge, including these new ones.

The new recipes are few in number, which means fewer ingredients to find. Legendweed can be found growing around Levitania, Spiritual Powder from the Big Spook in the Ancient Ruins and Rainbow Trout from the Leafes’ shop in Elderwood Village.

These dishes aren’t cheap to make, but they sell for a good price too!

The hardest Challenges by far are the ones that require you to increase your four Cooking skills to Level 15. If you have the DLC, you can buy the Cook’s Pride from the Exchange Clerk in Pam’s House after completing the Origin Island story, which doubles your skill growth as a Cook.

With or without the Cook’s Pride, reaching Level 15 will be a serious grind. To maximise your skill growth, always make dishes one at a time, not in bulk, and avoid Auto Mode (your Special Skill is OK) at all costs.

To boost your Veg & Egg Cuisine skill, keep baking Magical Pies , the ingredients for which can all be bought from Al Maajik (Magic Powder can be wrangled from Professor Snooze’s Lab or the Shady Shop).

Meat Cuisine is a bit trickier as you need to be a Master Mercenary to buy Monster Meat in bulk from the Mercenary in Spelltown.

Once you have a bunch, keep cooking Juicy Monster Meat (Giant Tree Nuts can be bought from Elderwood Village) or, if you have the DLC, the superior Roast of Legend (you can buy Dragon Meat from the Rocky Hill Shrine shopkeeper).

Finally, to boost your Seafood Cuisine, invest in desert-bound fish and keep churning out the Desert Fish Stew . As for your Cooking skill, it’s going to hit Level 15 well before you’ve reached Level 15 in the three individual skills.
