Tactical Ability

Learnable Abilities & Arts

You can learn these abilities/arts by ranking up various classes. After learning an ability/art, you can equip up to 2 arts and 4 abilities regardless of current class. Or up to 10 abilities after upgrading the Tactics Academy.

If a character learns multiple of the same Prowess (or similar) ability, these abilities will combine into a stronger version Eg. learning Brawling Prowess twice will give you Brawling Prowess Lv 2. Learning a third one will bump it to Brawling Prowess Lv 3.

Myrmidon

3-star	Shadowblade	Lash at foes with a dark magic-based sword attack. Deals damage based on Mag.

Armored Knight

1-star	Def +2	Increases Def by 2.
2-star	Axe Prowess	Increases damage dealt to enemies when equipped with an axe.
2-star	Lightning Axe	Hurl a lightning-charged axe. Deals damage based on Mag.
3-star	Armored Infantry’s Wisdom	Nullifies status effects inside areas created by Armor Knight and Fortress Knight class actions.

Cavalier

1-star	Desperation	When HP is at 50% or below: strong attacks will break an enemy’s guard.
2-star	Lance Prowess	Increases damage dealt to enemies when equipped with a lance.
2-star	Glowing Ember	Hurl a fiery lance straight ahead. Damage dealt will increase with Def.
3-star	Knight’s Ploy	Guarantees the enemy’s guard will break when activating the class actions of lance-wielding cavalry with at least one bar filled.

Brigand

1-star	Death Blow	Keeps the Stun Gauge visible for longer.
1-star	Swinging Fury	Perform a consecutive series of axe swings.
2-star	Axe Prowess	Increases damage dealt to enemies when equipped with an axe.
2-star	Spike	Launch the foes ahead into the air, then swat them away with a swing of the axe.
3-star	Warrior’s Ploy	When using Brigand and Warrior class actions, temporarily reduces enemy Def in proportion to the number of bars filled.

2-star	Drill Arrow	Skewer foes with a blindingly fast arrow that temporarily reduces their Def.
3-star	Armsthrift	Slows the degrading of weapon durability when using combat arts or magic.
3-star	Point-Blank Volley	Attack a wide forward area with three consecutive shots.

1-star	Brawler’s Ploy	Grants the class actions of Brawlers, Grapplers, and War Masters a chance to produce the Stun Gauge.
2-star	Draining Blow	Absorb a portion of inflicted damage as HP.
3-star	Concentration	Moderately extends the time before the hit count expires.

1-star	Lifeforce	Greatly increases damage dealt by combat arts and magic, but causes the unit to sustain damage with each use in proportion to Mt.
1-star	Bolganone	Advanced fire magic.
2-star	Reason	Increases damage dealt to enemies when equipped with a tome.
3-star	Mage’s Ploy	Imbues Mage, Warlock, and Gremory class actions with an element regardless of whether they are chained from strong attacks.

1-star	Miracle	Allows the unit to survive a single blow that would otherwise reduce HP to zero.
1-star	Recover	Intermediate light magic. Greatly heals surrounding allies.
2-star	Faith	Increases the recovery amount of healing magic.
3-star	Priest’s Ploy	Increases the recovery amounts of Priest and Bishop class actions.

Swordmaster

1-star	Spd +5	Increases Spd by 5.
2-star	Provoke	Draws attacks, increasing the frequency that surrounding foes attack the unit.
2-star	Mortal Struggle	Sacrifice Prt, reducing the user’s defense, to make the Stun Gauge display with all attacks.
3-star	Astra	Perform a series of five slashes while moving swiftly.

Assassin

1-star	Sneak Attack	Attacking foes from behind greatly increases damage in proportion to the unit’s Dex.
2-star	Lethality	Grants a (Dex x 0.25%) chance of instantly defeating non-commander units.
3-star	Assassinate	Slash while charging forward. Has a chance to instantly defeat non-commander units.

Fortress Knight

1-star	Def +5	Increases Def by 5.
2-star	Smite	When using cavalry or armored classes, dashing through enemies inflicts damage.
3-star	Wild Abandon	Rip through foes with axe swings.

Wyvern Rider

3-star	Battalion Wrath	When battalion endurance is at 1/3 or below: greatly increases damage dealt by critical rushes.
3-star	War Strike	Bring an axe down so fiercely it sunders the ground and sends enemies flying into the air.

2-star	Tornado Shot	Conjure a cyclone that launches enemies into the air.
3-star	Warrior Assist	When this unit is an adjutant: increases the fill rate of the active unit’s Warrior Gauge.
3-star	Hunter’s Volley	Attack enemies launched into the air with three consecutive shots. Often yields critical hits.

3-star	Apex Gauntlet	Increases critical hit damage when equipped with gauntlets.
3-star	Fierce Iron Fist	Strike down at foes from midair. Damage dealt will increase with Spd.

Warlock

1-star	Fiendish Blow	Increases the power of elemental effects.

2-star	Reason	Increases damage dealt to enemies when equipped with a tome.
3-star	Absorb Strength	Grants a minor boost to Str each time an enemy commander is defeated. The boosts last throughout the battle.
