How to Defeat Writh Kul

By
Scott Peers

Writh Kul Location & Profile

You’ll find Writh Kul on top of some ring foundations just southeast of Fob Hotel. Her profile is as follows:

Writh Kul was born in the Tower of Vet’nos on the asteroid of A’zhd, one of the only cities of this colony to remain unaffected by the constant threat of piracy. After the Great Schism, her name rose to prominence in Tartarus’s circle, largely due to her intellect and strategic wisdom of space warfare, which earned her the role of naval combat architect. Functioning in this capacity, Writh managed to take down over 185 UNSC capital ships, making her one of the most lethal Covenant assets in space. When the Covenant finally came to an end, however, Writh took her frigate Dagger of Mercy and its crew, and continued ransacking Forerunner relic sites and trading them in the burgeoning post-war, cross-species black market. Although lucrative, she desired to return to warfare and sought out Atriox, for placement in the Banished.

How to Defeat Writh Kul

This is one of the easiest high-value targets to kill. The main things you need to be concerned about in this fight are the plasma cannons on either side of the area, although you can take these out in one missile strike with a AV-49 Wasp. If you’ve arrived in a Wasp, you can also use it to kill pretty much everything on the ground without any issues. You’ll need to keep moving though to avoid being hit by a Skewer shot from one of the elite Brutes on the ground, so it’s a good idea to prioritize killing these once the plasma cannons have been destroyed. If you’d rather fight on the ground, the fight won’t be much more difficult here either. Writh Kul can be killed with one shot to the head, so long as you’re accurate, but even if you hit a body shot it won’t take many of these to bring her down. There will be reinforcements, but most of these are Jackals and Grunts, all of which can be killed with ease using pretty much any weapon. All in all, this is a disappointingly easy fight, perhaps not surprisingly for an enemy who specialized in strategic space warfare, rather than close ground combat.
