How to Complete The Road¶

Kill the Banished on the Road¶

This is an incredibly simple quest which has no specific objectives other than to reach the House of Reckoning at the end of the road. However, along the road you’ll find one of the highest concentrations of Banished enemies in the game. You’ll encounter Brutes, Jackals, and Grunts, and many of their elite variants. You’ll also encounter two tough Hunters who can be difficult to kill, especially if you don’t deal with the lesser enemies first. In addition to all of these, you’ll find various vehicles along the road including a few Wraith tanks. These can be useful to kill numerous enemies at once while remaining protected within the tank, but you’ll need to be careful to avoid being hit by anti-tank weapons. The Hunters will also make short work of any vehicle, so it’s not a good idea to get too close to them if you’re relying on the Wraith. Instead, use the map features to take cover and throw grenades where possible to inflict damage without exposing yourself too much.

The fight with the Banished along the road can take a considerable amount of time, given how many there are. You can make it slightly quicker by liberating as many Marines as possible when you come across them. If you’d rather not waste time with this and instead reach the House of Reckoning as soon as possible to progress with the story, you can just run by them using Grappleshot along the side of the map. Once you reach the end of the road, a gate will stop the Banished from reaching you, and you can interact with the terminal to progress into the fortress.
