Bob-Omb

The Bob-Omb is a pretty famous enemy in the Mario franchise, which is known for exploding after a few seconds. In 3D World, if they spot one of your characters, then they will chase after them and explode in a few seconds. If you jump on top of a Bob-Omb, they will become a normal bomb, allowing you to pick them up and toss them. However, once you pick them up, they will explode after a few seconds, even if you’re still holding them. Note that any Baddie Boxes you encounter in the game will only spit out Bob-Ombs.
