Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury

Luigi

By
Jarrod Garripoli

Luigi is Mario’s younger brother and is often overlooked because of his older brother’s accomplishments. He was originally an exact copy of Mario, often called the “Green Mario,” until he eventually gained his own personality and identity in games. In fact, he would later star in some games of his own, such as Luigi’s Mansion, where he is shown to be cowardly, in addition to also being brave when he needs to be.

In Super Mario 3D World, Luigi can definitely be a challenging character to play as, since his abilities can be difficult to control sometimes. First of all, his jumping height is the highest in the game, meaning he has an easier time reaching some ledges over other characters. However, his running speed is a little lower than someone like Mario’s, so he might not be able to finish stages in record time. Other than the two things above, Luigi doesn’t really have any other special abilities.
