A Big Galoomba in Mario 3D World
Bearing a striking resemblance to Goombas, Galoombas have a lot of similarities to them. Whenever they see your character, they will chase after you, having a good range in which they will start moving. Unlike Goombas, though, they will not succumb to defeat with just a single hit. Instead, they will flip over and become immobile if you jump on them once, but will turn back over to normal after a few seconds have passed. While they are flipped over, though, simply touching them at all will cause them to be defeated. Also, a Ground Pound is more than enough to defeat them without having to flip them. There is one variant of them, the Big Galoomba, which has nothing different about it, other than the size.
