Ka-Thunks are the spiked, hollowed-out walls that crash down on giant squared areas throughout the level. Get used to jumping through them as they fall down, this technique will help you defeat the boss later. Go up the steps and past two Ka-Thunks, a ? Block is found nearby with a Super Bell inside.
Cross more Ka-Thunks and use the Jump Panels to launch up towards some swinging platforms. They turn one way for a bit then move back, adjust then reach the top. Clear out the Chargin’ Chucks on this platform then hit the Green Star Ring to spawn the eight coins on the nearby swinging platforms. Make a few good leaps here or just climb up between the platforms to claim Green Star #1 .
Jump off at the top for the Checkpoint Flag followed by a series of Ka-Thunks. There is another ? Block with a Super Bell which should indicate you need to do some climbing. Pass the rolling Ka-Thunks then climb the wall to an alcove where the Stamp can be found. Jump down and wait for the second row of Ka-Thunks to roll by. You should notice Green Star #2 between one of these Ka-Thunks, just time your jump through.
The final section requires some precision on your end. Stand on the Jump Panel and leap when the Ka-Thunk goes parallel to the ground so you arrive safely on the next level. Before taking the Warp Box at the top, climb the wall up to Green Star #3 then head to the boss battle.
Boss: King Ka-Thunk
The battlefield is divided into 9 squares that King Ka-Thunk will fall onto. He sits within a normal Ka-Thunk, splashing down on a tile taking up 1/4 of it. The objective is to let him fall on your square, but to stand in the 3/4 that he isn’t landing on. From here you can simply jump up onto hit back to deal damage. As you do this King Ka-Thunk will speed up his rotation and make some of the tiles disappear so you need to stay on your toes.
Collect the Green +Clock on your way to the Goal Pole and the Sprixie Princess.
