Chapter 7 - Palumpolum

Chapter 7 - Palumpolum

Felix Heights

Be prepared for quite a few battles in this room, all of which are fairly straightforward and unremarkable. A Tungsten Bangle can be found in the top left corner of the room and a Black Belt can be found a little further at the bottom of the left-hand path.

3x Corps Pacifex + PSICOM Scavenger battle (left) and the Tungsten Bangle location (right).

Just past the Save Station, a Behemoth and friend guard the corridor, and your escape route out of here. Remove the little guy first then focus on the monster. Climb the stairs to the waypoint and be ready for a boss battle after which you will return to Hope’s house to recuperate.

Before you go to the next destination, give Fang a Doctor’s Code .

Ushumgal Subjugator (2nd Encounter)

Hope begins the battle alone, but after his health is reduced to 1 HP or a certain amount of time has passed, Lightning and Fang join the party and then the proper battle begins.

Ushumgal Subjugator Stats
Level / HP LV 55 / 378,000 HP
Strength / Magic 171 STR / 0 MAG
Stagger / Chain Res. / CP 250% / 70 Chain Resistance / 960 CP
Vulnerabilities Lightning (Weak)
Common Drop / Rare Drop Shield Talisman (100%) / None

Don’t bother with the first round, just let Hope take damage. Soon Fang and Light join, with Fang being your leader. At this point you can restart the battle to kit out your characters as you see fit.

  1. COM/RAV/RAV

  2. COM/RAV/RAV

  3. SEN/COM/RAV

  4. SEN/COM/MED

  5. SAB/MED/SYN (starting battle setup)

  6. COM/MED/MED

Start with setup until Hope gives everyone Protect, and Fang sticks Slow on the boss. Then switch to either and heal with Potions when necessary, or alternate between and (also healing with Potions) until the boss is staggered. Ushumgal keeps shooting its area of effect attacks, and if the damage piles up too quickly, make use of so that two healers keep you on top. Eventually you’ll see some patterns appear around one of your characters - this denotes that Ushumgal used the Targeting ability and will focus all of its attacks on that character for a period of time, and then finish the assault by shooting Photon Blaster that hits everyone in the blast radius. Switch to in this case! Not much changes afterwards so carry on until it is defeated.

After the battle you’ll score the Shield Talisman (Auto-Protect) and 8x Abominable Wing .
