Where to Find the Winter’s Bite Runic Attack in GoWR¶

The first Runic Attack you’ll obtain in God of War Ragnarok, Winter’s Bite is a Light Runic Attack for the Leviathan Axe. You’ll obtain this Runic Attack during the main quest Surviving Fimbulwinter. Defeat The Huntress and pick up the loot she drops to obtain - among other things - this Runic Attack.

How to Use Winter’s Bite¶

To use Winter’s Bite, equip it to the Leviathan Axe’s Light Runic Attack slot, then hold and press .

Despite the description, Winter’s Bite can hit multiple enemies if they’re grouped up enough. It generally has mediocre stats all around, but is fairly fast and can knock smaller enemies into the air, where you can subsequently juggle them. It’s a fine starter Runic Art that shouldn’t leave you vulnerable if you use it wisely in combat, but its crowd control and range leaves much to be desired.

Winter’s Bite has a COOLDOWN of 73 seconds. The potency of Winter’s Bite can be improved by increasing your RUNIC stat, and its cooldown can be lowered by increasing your COOLDOWN stat.
