To reach the Boggard Hunting Grounds, follow these directions from Thorn Ford:

  • Northwest (along the Thorn River)
  • East
  • Northeast
  • Southeast

(1 of 2) Be wary of Boggard Brutes, as they’re fond of rushing past your warriors and attacking squishier characters.

Be wary of Boggard Brutes, as they’re fond of rushing past your warriors and attacking squishier characters. (left), For defeating the Boggards you’ll score some magical trinkets, including a Ring of Protection +1. (right)

When you arrive, head north a short distance to encounter several Boggards. They’re not any stronger than the ones you may have encountered at Two-River’s Field, although the fact that you’ll regularly be fighting groups of them can make their “Terrifying Croak” ability more dangerous. The more fear effects thrown at you, the more likely characters are to be affected. Prevail, then loot a nearby corpse to find a Ring of Protection +1 along with some other baubles.

Continue north to find a second batch of Boggards, including a Boggard Brute. Be wary of this new specimen, as it’s not above charging past your melee combatants in order to get at your ranged units and casters. Put them down, then loot the Boggard Brute’s body to obtain a Masterwork Light Mace. A nearby corpse contains further rewards, including a Cloak of Resistance +1, a Potion of Aid and a Potion of Shield of Faith.

That’s it for this area. All in all, not a bad way to score some good starter defensive items and earn a bit of XP.

At the mansion of the Swordlord Jamandi Aldori, adventurers have gathered, lured by the promise of dominion should one of them conquer the nearby Stolen Lands and oust its current overlord - the Stag Lord. You are one such adventurer, and Jamandi’s offer isn’t just a benevolent call-to-arms to make the Stolen Lands safe for normal folk, there’s political angles to its conquest, and the ultimate allegience of its new ruler. More than that, however, a sinister, primordial force has her own interests in the Stolen Lands, and a desire to see new rulers rise… and fall. The Pathfinder: Kingmaker guide includes a full walkthrough of the game’s main campaign, including various side quests, companion quests and strategies.
