Chrom, being one of the main characters of the game, is somebody you have to use whether you like it or not for all non-skirmish and side missions. For that reason, you will have to get used to him whether you like him or not!

Fortunately, he manages to hold his own on the lower difficulties right from the start, and has the advantage of being able to use a weapon that does not break.

He has a pretty limited class set, but is able to become a Great Lord, which is a very nice and well rounded class that learns Aether. With this, if made into a Paladin, he can learn Aegis, which can go in good combination with it.

His supports are pretty limited too; you would expect more from the Lord of the game, and so he doesn't actually get much room for background development via his supports.
