Strategies for all difficulties
This level is tough. A combination of the first two Champions of Yore challenges; it places your army as the filling between two groups of of powerful opponents of every discipline. Tough!
Arrange your units so that you’ve got two solid teams to take high and low. The right side seems more outwardly aggressive, so send your sturdiest units there, first. As long as speed isn’t the aim it can be worth holding the left “squad” back slightly so as not to have both groups locked in combat.
This way you could use extra units to assist the upper attack before pushing on the left hand side one you’ve eradicated the right. Just use the ‘Danger Zone’ viewer and you should be fine.
If your defensive lines are struggling then consider this. It’s worth sending units with high magical resistance to the bottom left; the enemy Dark Mage, Micaiah, is a particularly nasty piece of work and should be avoided by anyone with low magical defences (looking at you Frederick).
Also you could take your own aerial offense to deal with any Pegasus Knights trying to sneak their way around your lines.
Completing this quest will reward you with a tome of All Stats +2.
Did you know: Micaiah first appeared in Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn. In that game, she was a Light Mage, but sadly Dark Mage is (ironically) the closest thing here.
