Strategies for all difficulties

The previous map was pretty easy, but this one really raises the bar.

This time, there are 30 enemies and you’re surrounded by them on all sides. To make matters worse, all the enemies will begin to move from Turn 1. There are only two words to sum up this mission: “absolute mayhem”.

At the beginning, your units will be focused at the very centre of the map, with additional units scattered in four of the surrounding rooms. Place strong units, who can hold their own ground, in the rooms. If your army strength is too stretched, don’t deploy units in the rooms and instead focus all your units in the centre.

Like before, 10 green units will back you up, but they won’t last long against the enemy’s numbers. Still, they will be useful in distracting the widely-spread enemies while you focus your efforts.

When the mission begins, make a break for either the eastern or the west room. Use the passage to the room as a choke point. If heading to the western room, you can pick off two enemies with ranged attacks.

As mentioned near the beginning, on the enemy’s turn, they will move all of their units. The ones towards the north and south will likely focus on the nearby green allies, which allows you some time to clean up the central part of the map. Have fun watching the CPU duke it out between themselves.

Turn 2, finish off the remainder of the enemies in your designated room. Place your weaker units, such as healers or magic users, inside the room and your sturdy units beyond the door, ready to face oncoming enemies.

On the enemy’s turn, expect to see them decimate the green force. If you’re lucky you might even see Roy and Ike fight each other!

For the rest of the mission, stand your ground and play defensively. If you have ranged units, have them attack through the walls to chip away at the enemy. Make use of the Rally skills too, especially your Avatar’s Rally Spectrum, to bolster your units’ stats and thus chance of survival.

Join Chrom, brother to Ylisse’s empress and commander of its forces, in a fantasy world teetering on the brink of war. It’s your duty to guide a team of Ylisse’s finest soldiers - knights, mages, archers, and more - against the marauding Plegian bandits. To succeed, you will need to carefully choose the units you take into battle. As you lead your team through battles across maps that span entire kingdoms, your army will grow. Some characters are willing to join you quickly, while others may need more persuasion. Each character earns experience in battle, leveling up and gaining strength and abilities as they do so. It’s up to you to guide their moves, choose their weapons, and direct their attacks.
