Fire Emblem Engage is the latest game in the franchise, looking to further the momentum that both Warriors: Three Hopes and Three Houses have built on the Nintendo Switch.
Akin to those entries, there is a different edition available for Engage, allowing you to get some goodies to go along with the game itself. This is called the Divine Edition and this guide runs you through exactly what you’ll be receiving if you choose to buy it.
What’s in the Fire Emblem Engage Divine Edition?
If you’re looking to purchase the game for yourself, you have two options to choose from; the standard edition where you get the game and that’s all, or the Divine Edition which comes with some added extras for fans new and old.
For what’s included in the Divine Edition, you’ll receive a physical copy of the game, a steelbook case, art cards, art book, and a poster. All of these showcase the game’s beautiful art style and could potentially be an absolute necessity for those who have been followers of the franchise for some time. Sadly, there are no additional benefits in-game for purchasing the Divine Edition, which could be seen as a little disappointing as exclusive character costumes could have been a fun purchase incentive for some.
If you’re intrigued by what’s on offer in the Fire Emblem Engage Divine Edition, it will set you back $99.99, which is a bit hefty considering that the base game is $59.99. That would mean that you’re essentially paying an additional $40 for mostly physical character art, which for some may seem worth it, but for others, maybe not so much.
At this current moment however, the Fire Emblem Engage Divine Edition does seem to be sold out for pre orders in most, if not all retailers, so if you want to get your hands on one, going to Nintendo direct on launch could be the best bet.
