By
Jacob Woodward

In Fire Emblem Engage, recruiting new characters to add to your support units could be key to success in battle, especially in the more end-game Chapters. Now, while you can add more members to your squad pretty early on, there are some that take time.

"Saphir" iconSaphir is one of these but this guide will take you through exactly how and when you can recruit her for yourself and use her power in battle.

Who Is Saphir In Fire Emblem Engage?

Before we get into the recruitment process for Saphir, let’s quickly run you through who she is.

Saphir is a fierce warrior hailing from the Kingdom of Brodia, seeking only truths in her endeavours.

As you would expect her expertise lies in the "Warrior" iconWarrior class, coupled with the "Will to Win" iconWill to Win skill providing huge benefits to Hit/Avo if HP is down to 50% or less.

This means Saphir is a perfect unit to utilise in those longer battles, and while most supports dwindle after a few turns, Saphir only gets stronger, showcasing her warrior strength.

Selecting Saphir as a support in !Fire Emblem Engage

If you want to add Saphir to your squad in Fire Emblem Engage, thankfully, it’s a pretty simple process. She is not hidden by some secret method, or DLC, what you’ll have to do is simply progress the story.

This is because if you want the chance to recruit Saphir for used in later battles, you’ll have to reach Chapter 19 of the game. Yes, unfortunately, this impressive warrior isn’t available early-game, and you’ll play a bunch just to have the opportunity

Once you reach Chapter 19: The Dead Town and are making your way through it, you’ll have the chance to speak to Saphir. Ensure you spark up a conversation with Saphir as "Alear" iconAlear, "Alcryst" iconAlcryst, or "Diamant" iconDiamant, and you’ll be able to secure her skills for later use.

One thing to note here is that she will appear as an ally in battle before recruitment. You must ensure that she doesn’t die otherwise you may miss your window of opportunity.
