This is a walkthrough for the Errand, Burden of Command in Horizon Forbidden West. It’ll navigate you through the necessary steps to finding the Tenakth Child and how to defeat the Stormbird and Thunderjaw.

Speak with Drakka or Yarra at the Scalding Spear to begin this Errand.

Description¶

The Desert Clan faces new problems - and all eyes are on Yrra. She could use the help of a trusted ally.

Meet Yarra or Drakka South of Scalding Spear¶

Head to Scalding Spear after you’ve completed the Side Quest The Gate of the Vanquished and speak with Drakka or Yarra depending on who you defeated. Make your way to the southwest of Scalding Spear and speak with Yarra/Drakka who can be found out in the open. Activate your Focus by holding R3 and highlight the track by pressing R1 and follow it along until you reach an abandoned plane, then speak with the Tenakth Child inside.

Protect The Child¶

You’ll now need to defend the Child against a Thunderjaw. It’s weak to both Purgewater/ Acid Ammo and you’ll want to focus on hitting it’s Disc Launcher and Tail, as it’s not only exposed but its the parts that the Thunderjaw can unleash deadly attacks from.

Unfortunately, after you’ve defeated the Thunderjaw you’ll need to deal with a Stormbird straight after, so make sure you’ve got either Acid or Plasma Ammo equipped and aim for the Wing Thrusters. After you’ve defeated the machines, speak with the child once more to bring this Errand to a close.
