All New Hairstyles in Elden Ring Patch 1.08

By
Scott Peers

This page details everything you need to know about the new hairstyles which were introduced with Patch 1.08 for Elden Ring on 7th December 2022. We’ll cover how you can apply the new hairstyles to an existing character, and we have a video showing you all of the hairstyles currently available.

All New Hairstyles in Elden Ring Update - Patch 1.08

The new Colosseum multiplayer DLC released on 7th December 2022 also brought with it a number of new hairstyles for your Elden Ring characters. There are still a bunch of colors that you can use to customize each one, but you now have more options in terms of extra choices for short, medium, and long length styles. Unfortunately there’s still a noticeable lack of diversity in hairstyles available with influences from different cultures, so we’d like to see even more styles introduced with future updates, potentially with more African and indigenous cultural influences. The Elden Ring character creation is one of the best we’ve seen, so it only makes sense to extend the plethora of features to hair customization. The same goes for beards, by the way!

How to Change Hairstyle and Appearance in Elden Ring

If you’re starting with a new character in Elden Ring, you will have all of these new hairstyles available to you during character creation. However, there’s no need to worry if you already have an existing character that you want to modify the appearance of. You can do this by interacting with the vanity mirror at the Roundtable Hold, or alternatively by speaking with Rennala, Queen of the Full Moon, after completing the Academy of Raya Lucaria and defeating her. You will also have the option to change your stats when speaking with Rennala, which is useful to remember if you want to change the entire theme and skill set of your character, but you will a Larval Tear for this.

Rennala, Queen of the Full Moon

To find Rennala, Queen of the Full Moon after defeating her, you can travel to the Raya Lucaria Grand Library Site of Grace, as shown in the screenshot below.
