The Groveside Cave can be found in some cliffs north of the Church of Ellah.
How to Find the Groveside Cave¶
The Gatefront Ruins can be found north of the Church of Ellah, you’ll find it on the face of a cliff behind a lake.

In the cave’s first chamber you’ll find a wolf den, and its occupants aren’t fond of intruders.
Culling the wolves will allow you to loot their den.
How to Complete the Groveside Cave¶
The Groveside Cave is a fairly simple and short optional area located just north of the Church of Ellah. Once you find the cave (it’s in some cliffs north of a lake - a brazier in front makes it especially hard to miss), head inside and you’ll find the Groveside Cave Site of Grace, making this a fairly low-risk endeavor.
Rest up, then head down a passageway to find a wolf den, where several Wolves and an Alpha Wolf dwell. You’ve got the high ground, but don’t let this supposed advantage go to your head - there’s a ramp to the north the canines can use to reach you, plus this can jump surprisingly high. Defeat the wolves that initially attack, but be wary, as there are more to the west and north.
Once all the wolves are defeated, loot their chamber for a Glowstone, a Golden Rune (1), several Silver Fireflies and a Cracked Pot.
Pass through the mist to encounter the Beastman of Farum Azula.
Defeat the Beastman of Farum Azula to obtain the Flamedrake Talisman.
When you’re done in the wolf den, make your way down a passage to the north and you’ll find that familiar wall of mist. When you’re ready, pass through to encounter the Beastman of Farum Azula. This is a relatively weak optional boss - you can use summons, he’s got no minions, and the chamber you’re fighting it is fairly large. Defeat him and you’ll obtain the Flamedrake Talisman.
