Gemini Gloves in Baldur's Gate 3: Best Builds & How to Get

By
Craig Robinson

The "Gemini Gloves" iconGemini Gloves in Baldur’s Gate 3 is one of the best gloves in the game, offering players a power called "Adroit Caster" iconAdroit Caster. This power enables the caster to cast Cantrips that target either an ally or enemy to be cast at an additional creature. This is a very powerful effect, and so, here’s everything you need to know about the Gemini gloves and how to get them.

How to Get the Gemini Gloves in Baldur’s Gate 3

Here’s a closer look at the Gemini Gloves in Baldur’s Gate.

The Gemini Gloves in Baldur’s Gate 3 are available for purchase at the "Devil's Fee" iconDevil’s Fee. You can speak to the dwarf lady at the counter called Helsik, who sells the Gemini Gloves for 720 gold pieces. This is very cheap, considering the power of the gloves.

Be careful, though, as it seems if you rob the place first and she finds out, these items may get locked away from trade. Some users have also reported bugs that they only become available when you complete the House of Hope, which shouldn’t be the case normally, as we managed to purchase them before going into the House of Hope. It’s worth noting just in case you can’t buy them for whatever reason.

Best Builds for the Gemini Gloves in Baldur’s Gate 3

  • "Eldritch Blast" iconEldritch Blast Warlocks: If you have an Eldritch Blast Warlock build, the Gemini Gloves are Best in Slot. The gloves enable you to cast your multi-attack Eldritch Blast at two enemies, rather than at just one. It means that you can launch a lot of Eldritch Blast in a round, especially with them being cantrips. If a few party members could use these, an Eldritch Blast Warlock build will always take these over any other build.

  • Druid Builds: The other good build for this is your more nature-themed Druid or Spore Druid. The Caster druids that use "Spike Growth" iconSpike Growth and "Thorn Whip" iconThorn Whip can use the gloves to pull two enemies within range forward, into the Spike Growth. This enables them to take the damage for crossing into the Spike Growth while you use the Thorn Whip cantrip to amplify the movement dangerous terrain penalty that comes with Spike Growth. Your other option is to use it as a Spore Druid and cast "Bone Chill" iconBone Chill. This allows you to do minor damage but prevents healing on two targets. This is very good when fighting Paladin-type enemies, such as the Absolute Cultists that remain, or the Flaming Fist Paladins, etc.

  • Sorcerer Builds: It doesn’t really matter what Sorcerer build you run, but, if you use the Quickened Spell, it means you can use these gloves to cast a Cantrip as a bonus action, while you can use your regular Sorcerer spell. This means Storm Sorcs abusing Vulnerability can use "Ray of Frost" iconRay of Frost on two targets and a bonus action after using Create Water, or casting another spell to already wet targets. Blaster Caster builds can also use this to use Eldritch Blast themselves as a bonus action against two targets.

  • Poison Builds: Any Poison build, such as a Necromancer that runs "Poison Spray" iconPoison Spray, can use the Gemini Gloves in BG3 to ramp their damage. Like Eldritch Blast, Poison Spray gets more dice rolls as you level up, getting 3D12 at level 10. If you use this twice, that’s a lot of poison damage. Combine it with the "Poisoner's Robe" iconPoisoner’s Robe from the Phase Spider Boss in the "Whispering Depths" iconWhispering Depths, then you can get some strong builds going.

  • Bard Build: The Bard can use a cantrip called "Vicious Mockery" iconVicious Mockery. If you can cast this using those gloves, then you can cause two enemies to have disadvantage on their next attacks. Making this a good item for party support cantrips.
