The !Necrotic Laboratory is a location in the 
Oubliette location of the Act 2 
Moonrise Towers. Players who complete the Nightsong quest can then enter the full extent of this location. One of the POIs you can miss here is the !Necrotic Laboratory, which has a puzzle room. We are here to assist you with the !Necrotic Laboratory puzzle and some other content you can get for completing the challenge.
Necrotic Laboratory Puzzle Walkthrough in BG3¶
Here is a guide on the Necrotic Laboratory Puzzle in Baldur’s Gate 3.
Once you approach the terminal in the !Necrotic Lab, you can activate the puzzle. When several brains appear, you need to match the ions along the pathways to where their nodes are at the end.
Here are the orders for each one you need to follow:
- Emotion: Follow the outer left edge to reach the final Emotion Node.
- Speech: Go up, then go right, then forward to reach the Speech Node
- Memory: Travel right, then go through the middle, then go left to reach the Memory node.
- Reason: Follow the remaining nodes, as they should follow to the final reason node, presuming you made no mistakes.

Once you complete the puzzle, you can learn more about the secrets it hides. It’s a long cutscene, and if you have La’zel in the party, she can give you some insight into what it means. We have this in the video too, if you’re interested. You can also get a very nice weapon called The 
Blade of Oppressed Souls, which is a 1d8, and 1d4 psychic damage weapon, with a weapon enchantment on it.
