There are multiple romance options in Baldur’s Gate 3 and some can be done with little effort and some will require you to get them specific items to get them to connect with you on a deeper level. For those that are trying to romance Shadowheart, then you’ll need to obtain a Night Orchid which is an item only obtainable in Act 2. This page will navigate you through the necessary steps to finding it.

Night Orchid Location in BG3

Before you can start looking for the Night Orchid you’ll want to progress through the game until you reach Act 2. Once you’ve made it to act 2 and finally step foot in the Shadow-Cursed Lands you’ll want to head to the Shadowed Battlefield Fast Travel. If you haven’t explored the area yet, then just head south from where you first enter the area until you reach the coordinates X: 39 - Y:37.

Once you’ve unlocked the fast travel, use it to reset your positioning, then walk a couple steps to the northwest and jump across onto a little platform to find the Night Orchid sitting on the ground. If you’re having trouble finding it, then hold in the Alt button to highlight all the items in the surrounding area. Alternatively, you can head northeast from the waypoint to trigger the Hide & Seek side quest. Upon obtaining the item, return to your camp and select the option “Remember when you told me Night Orchids were your favorite flowers?” followed by “It just so happens I have one right here” and this will continue the Daughter of Darkness Storyline.
