This page will detail how to defeat the Rank 3 opponent of Fort Condor. Fort Condor is a new mini-game found in the INTERmission DLC for Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade.
How to beat Wedge¶

Once you reach Rank 3, make your way to the southeast of the Sector 7 Slums to find Wedge’s house where he’s sitting outside. Wedge tends to favor a balanced setup in terms of his Units, with three Ranged and Defense and two Vanguard. The difficulty here is that many of his Units are high cost, but pack a real punch when they’re on the field, this means you’ll often need to double up to counter them. What’s more, the Batallion Board III grants him some nasty Materia too, such as HP Up and Regen.

With that in mind, you’ll want to use the new Batallion Board II you obtained at the end of Rank 2, this will give you four Materia to play with yourself and all four of them are useful ones. For your Units, be sure to take the Grenadier Barracks to keep a steady supply of Grenadiers to deal with his Defense Units while you’ll want to make sure you include the Elite Helitrooper among your Vanguard Units, this is useful to hit an area of effect in front of him.
At this stage of Fort Condor, you can expect matches to often take a few attempts to win and you may have to rely on taking out a single Outpost and wait for a timeout. Save your HP Up Materia for when you have several Units on the field and Haste for once you have a group near an Outpost or the Headquarters. If you see the Helicopter, be sure to Barrier anyone in it’s path. Your victory for defeating Wedge is the Armored Shock Trooper (Defense) Unit and x3 Condor Coins.
Rewards for completing Rank 3¶
Just the one opponent to defeat at Rank 3 and for reaching Rank 4, you’ll obtain the Battalion Board III that Wedge was using, along with updating the wares available at Old Snapper’s Condor Coin Shop. Be sure to pick up all of the available Units there before progressing to the next Rank.
