Assassin's Creed: Origins

Lady of Slaughter

By
Nathan Garvin

Suggested Level: 8

While it supposedly pained Menehet to ask for another favor, you’ll notice that didn’t exactly stop him, did it? Ah well, it’s good experience, and… well, helping out an old friend is always a worthwhile endeavor, right? Leave the temple to reach the corner of a large search area, where you’ll need to employ Senu to search for the missing actor. Use Senu’s almighty bird-sight to tag the drunkard, then go find him near the blacksmith. Pick him up and carry him back to Menehet, who will state the obvious. You know where this is going, right? Yep, turns out the actor’s role is one that can be filled by Bayek, and Menehet, despite his earlier protests to the contrary, has no shame in asking you to play the mummer to spare him the disgrace.

Head to the temple courtyard and talk to the high priest, who will allow you to take up for the errant Pamu, albeit with some reluctance. The final part of this short quest has Bayek taking up the role of Sekhmet, wearing a ceremonial costume and doing battle with “Isfet”, another costumed actor. Both of you are armed with poles instead of actual spears, and both have shields, and while Isfet has a good deal of health, he’s not too much more dangerous than other spearmen you may have fought. Abilities like Charge Heavy Attack and Parry will come in handy here, as it’ll help you get around his shield, otherwise you’ll have to try to flank him by dodging.

Prove victorious and the quest will end, rewarding you with some experience, the Sekhmet Costume and earning the trophy/achievement “The Festival”.

With that, finally, you’re done helping out Menehet. And you’ve earned yourself a swanky new costume and a good hunk of experience, to boot. That said, there’s more to do around Yamu, including three more quests, and the points of interest in the province. The quests will be listed in order from lowest level to highest, followed by the points of interest, if you care to do them, otherwise skip ahead to “Aya” .

The year is 48 BCE, and both Rome and Ptolemaic Egypt are torn by civil wars. In the chaos caused by this political upheaval, a shadowy conspiracy seeks the mysteries buried under the sands of Egypt, not sparing any who stand in the way of their ambitions. One such aggrieved individual, Bayek, a Medjay from Siwa, now seeks revenge against this secret organization. Ultimately going back to the origins of the Assassin’s Brotherhood, Assassin’s Creed Origins is a rebirth of the Assassin’s Creed franchise, adding a vast open world, a revamped combat system and RPG elements to the prolific stealth-action series.
