This cave found off the beaten track was very easily missed in Pokémon Sun and Moon, so it’s nice the game basically tells you where it is now. The other difference lies in the Pokémon inside, who lean more towards the Ice side. Anyway, after getting back up on your feet, grab the Escape Rope lying just above the entrance.

That should be useful for when you get lost in a cave, like this one. Now, it’s time to continue your search for the missing Nebby. Thankfully, the little thing is waiting for you just a couple of paces to the south. That’s not the only thing waiting for you though–as the members of the Ultra Recon Squad have come to test your mettle!

Ultra Recon Squad Dulse/Soliera

Pokémon Level Type
"Furfrou" IconFurfrou 13 Normal

This poodle can be picked up around Hau’oli City. It’s a Normal-type, so Fighting-types will have an easy time. Just be mindful of its Fur Coat, which weakens the damage of physical attacks. It may also use Baby-Doll Eyes to preemptively lower your Pokémon’s Attack, further reducing their damage output.

After giving the Ultra Recon Squad a show of your strength, they will depart in peace, allowing you to escort Nebby back to safety. Before that though, you could consider exploring the rest of the cave. Or you can opt to come back here later, after things have settled–if so, be sure to remember this page!

Once you’ve decided to continue, head west along the cavern, around the nearby rock. To the left side of the rock is a Heal Ball that you can pick up. There’s no way to continue past here right now, so head in the opposite direction: east. Go down the slope, then leap over the ledge to the right and the one after it.

After landing, head north along the short tunnel and grab the Expert Belt in the corner. Return south and leap over the remaining ledges towards the right. Past the final ledge, you’ll arrive at the exit. By the way, if you exit here and use the Escape Rope, you’ll just end up back here, rather than the meadow.

Still, that can’t be helped, so just exit to the east when ready. There is a bit more of the cave to explore, but we’ll be coming back here soon, don’t worry.

Kala’e Bay

This isolated bay is apparently a hugely popular scenic spot. Presumably from a distance though, as the place itself is practically deserted. As you enter, there’s a swimmer by the entrance, who’ll show you something cool if it’s night. Above him is a Dive Ball.

So that’s everything you can do here. Once you gain the ability to traverse the water, you can come back here again to have a proper look around. For now, back to the cave!

Seaward Cave (round trip)

To complete your exploration of the cave, for the time being anyway, head south-west from the bay entrance. After passing the pool of water above, the path will momentarily split, with paths leading to the west and the south. Go south first; at the end, investigate the rock for a hidden Star Piece.

Return towards the pool and follow the other path west. Grab the Super Potion in the corner by the rocks, then search the area directly above for a hidden Stardust. Next, start to make your way north-east. The path will soon split again. Go east first, which leads to an outcrop containing a Never-Melt Ice at the end.

Double back and follow the path north-west. Once again, you must make a choice. The path leading west is a dead end, so make your way north instead. Eventually, you’ll reach the point before you jumped over the ledges. From here, head north-west, then north after the path widens to reach Nebby/the meadows.
