The Make Do and Mend Side Quest in Final Fantasy 16 can be acquired at The Hideaway once you reach the Hide, Hideaway main quest. Here you’ll find an NPC named Geoffroy who is the Hideaway’s Carpenter and he’ll request that you find him some wood. We’ll take you through the necessary steps to completion and where to find the wood.
Speak with Geoffroy to begin this quest.
Geoffroy, the hideaway’s head carpenter, needs Clive to fetch him some wood with which to make repairs.
How to Start The Make Do and Mend Side Quest in FF16¶
First things first, you’ll need to have completed the main story mission A Chance Encounter, and be on Hide, Hideaway. When those requirements have been met, head over to Geoffroy who can be found in The Furrows and he’ll ask you to fetch him some wood so he can finish his repairs.
Where To Find Wood in FFXVI¶
You’ll be tasked with getting some wood for Geoffroy, as he needs to make some much needed repairs. So, head down to the southeast of the map to reach 
The Black Hammer, then speak with Carpenter who can be found standing near a workbench to the right of the Blacksmith. Thankfully, the Carpenter has just finished cutting up some timber, so approach the planks in the corner and hold X

Return to Geoffroy and give him the planks, so he can continue repairing the door and the quest will come to a close. Here you’ll be rewarded with some 
Meteorite which is used for crafting and a 
Gil Bug that can be traded for some 
Gil at the 
Charon’s Toll. Food For Thought and the 
Make Do and Mend are the only Side Quests available in the Hideaway for now, so feel free to continue the story and return later for more!
