Area Zero is an isolated region located within the Great Crater of Paldea, in the very center of the map. It lies underneath the white clouds obscuring the view of what’s underneath.

Within Area Zero is a verdant, ethereal landscape inhabited by exceptional powerful Pokémon and also bizarre creatures known as Paradox Pokémon.

How to Enter Area Zero?

The only way to enter Area Zero is via the Zero Gate, located on the highlands south-east from Medali (where the Normal Gym is).

Access to the Zero Gate is barred until you’ve completed all three story paths:

Once you’ve finished all three story paths, you’ll receive a call from Arven telling you to go to the Zero Gate.

Head to the Zero Gate, by traveling south-east from Medali. You can either use the Climb ability to ascend the cliff or follow the road from Medali’s south-east exit. There will be a passageway that was previously closed, which goes through the mountains, leading to the Zero Gate.

As you approach the Zero Gate, Arven will greet you. This will begin the Area Zero story “The Way Home.” After the cutscenes, walk forward and say you’re ready. You’ll then jump down towards Area Zero, on the back of Koraidon or Miraidon.
