Best Cetitan Tera Raid Build

By
Shane Williams

Much like a good Cetitan Raid build, Pokémon Scarlet & Violet is out now and Tera Raids are a large part of the online component of the game. Due to the difficulty of trying to complete Tera Raids offline and Online, a solid Cetitan Raid build will make life easier.

Cetitan is an Ice Type Pokemon.

If you’ve been delving into the world of Tera Raids and have reached the point of taking on the challenging 5 and 6 Star Tera Raids, you may realize just how much more strategy comes into play. More importantly, you may notice that clearing these Offline with the AI is incredibly challenging, to the point of almost impossible. Even Online can be challenging if your teammates choose Pokémon that are not ideal for the battle.

How to Get A Cetitan Raid Build

If you haven’t yet caught yourself a Cetitan for a Cetitan Raid build, then you’ll want to make a trip up to the Glaseasdo Mountain, as it can be found roaming around northwest and northeast corners. They’re a common spawn, but you may want to consider unlocking the Climb Travel Ability via defeating Dondozo, the False Dragon Titan.

Cetitan is an Ice Ice Type, so it’s extremely weak to Fire Fire Fighting Fighting Steel Steel and Rock Rock and will take 2x damage from them, so you want to use those Pokemon Types which are slightly above its level to lower its health before attempting to catch it. Additionally, the level range of Casseroya Lakes Pokemon is around 49-55, so you’ll want to make sure your team is leveled up and you have enough "Hyper Potion" iconHyper Potion to bring along.

Cetitan Raid Build For Tera Raids

Now that you have Cetitan, what is it about this Pokémon that has the Pokémon community go wild for him? These are main moves you’ll want to make note of for our best Cetitan Raid build:

Belly Drum is a move that increases the user’s Attack stat to the maximum amount (6 stages), at the cost of halving their HP. Avalanche will cause your attacks damage to be doubled if you’ve taken damage within the same round. Snowscape will allow you to cause a Snowstorm for 5 rounds and it’ll boost the Defense of Ice Types. Finally, Ice Spinner will is a damage move that’ll also destroy the terrain.

Once you’ve acquired the above attacks, you’ll want to start the battle with Belly Drum to increase your attack power, then follow it up with Snowscape to increase your Defense. Next up, you’ll want to keep using the Ice Spinner until it is defeated. If you notice that the opponent is going first a lot, then you’ll want to use Avalanche before Ice Spinner, as it’ll double your damage.

How to Teach The Cetitan Raid Build Belly Drum

Unfortunately, Cetitan can’t learn Belly Drum via leveling up nor is there Belly Drum TM to be found in the open world, so you’ll need to visit the Delibird Presents Store in Cascarrafa City and purchase the "Mirror Herb" iconMirror Herb for 30,000 Poke Dollars. Next up, you’ll need find and capture several Hariyama which can be found in West Province Area 2 until you find one that has the Belly Drum Attack.

Once you’ve done that, remove all the Pokemon from your Team aside from Cetitan and "Hariyama" IconHariyama, then remove one attack from Cetitan so it has one slot free. Finally, participate in a picnic and Cetitan should automatically learn Belly Drum.

How to Teach Cetitan Avalanche

How to Teach Cetitan Snowscape

Snowscape is a TM you can find out in the open-world. It can be found in several locations, but the easiest place to find it is in West Province Area Three.

How to Teach Cetitan Ice Spinner

Ice Spinner is a TM you can find out in the open-world. It can be found in several locations, but the easiest place to find it is in Glaseado Mountain.
