This page explains what Pokémon HOME is and how it relates to Pokémon Scarlet & Violet.
Pokémon HOME is a cloud-based storage system that lets you transfer and store Pokémon creatures from various Pokémon games. You can download it via the Nintendo Switch and mobile devices. It’s the successor of the Pokémon Bank app for the Nintendo 3DS, which had a similar purpose.
Are Scarlet & Violet Compatible with Pokémon HOME?
Because Pokémon Scarlet & Violet are mainline games, you’ll be able to connect them to Pokémon HOME. However, this won’t be possible straightaway.
During early 2023, there will be an update to Pokémon HOME that adds compatibility with Pokémon Scarlet & Violet.
How to Download Pokémon HOME
On a Nintendo Switch, you can download Pokémon HOME via the Nintendo eShop.
On a mobile device, you can download Pokémon HOME via the Apple Store (iOS devices) or Play Store (Android devices).
Requirements For Using Pokémon HOME
Because Pokémon HOME is a cloud-based service, your Nintendo Switch or mobile device must have Internet access while using it.
When you first open Pokemon HOME, you must link a Nintendo Account. If you don’t have a Nintendo Account, you can create one for free via your Nintendo Switch or Internet browser on your computer/mobile device.
As mentioned, you can download and use Pokémon HOME for free. But certain features are limited, unless you pay.
