Where you turn in your progress is where it gets tricky, because you get rewards for your Pokédex progress from two different places. The first is by accessing the Pokédex and going to the Trophy icon, at which point you’ll be awarded for every 10 entries collected. This is useful, but this is not where you’ll get your "Shiny Charm" iconShiny Charm.

If you’ve been attending Mr. Jacq’s Biology Classes at Naranja (Scarlet)/Uva (Violet) Academy, you’ll learn early on that he’s responsible for the creation of the Paldea’s Pokédex.

Head to the Biology lab and you’ll find Mr. Jacq here and after speaking with him, he’ll ask if you can show him your progress and he’ll give you something at specific milestones, this is where you’ll obtain the "Shiny Charm" iconShiny Charm.
