How to Evolve Arctibax into Baxcalibur

By
Seren Morgan-Roberts

This page offers a guide on how to evolve Arctibax into Baxcalibur in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet (SV). Baxcalibur is a pseudo-legendary Dragon Ice type Pokémon introduced in Generation IX.

Baxcalibur is a top tier Pokémon for your party!

How to Get Baxcalibur

Baxcalibur cannot be found in the wild, and can only be obtained by evolving Arctibax. Arctibax can be evolved into Baxcalibur at level 54. Baxcalibur is the final evolution of Frigibax, with Arctibax being the first evolution.

Arctibax and Frigibax can be found in the wild. Arctibax can be found on Glaseado Mountain, but it can be a tricky find as it’s quite rare. Frigibax, on the other hand, is a bit more common, and can be found in Dalizapa Passage and in a cave southwest of North Province (Area Three). Frigibax will evolve into Arctibax at level 35.

If you do struggle with finding an Arctibax in the wild, you may find that evolving a Frigibax might be the best solution. You can evolve your Frigibax and Arctibax quickly using XP candies (obtained from Tera Raids) or getting your Pokémon to hold a "Lucky Egg" iconLucky Egg, which increases your Pokémon’s XP when battling (including when using the Let’s Go! feature). If you don’t have many XP candies, you can level up fast by farming XP at Mass Outbreaks - head over to our Mass Outbreak Levelling Up guide for more information!
