The Sandbar Hulk

By
Jarrod Garripoli

This is a guide for The Sandbar Hulk Standard Quest in Xenoblade Chronicles 3.

Where to Find The Sandbar Hulk Standard Quest

The Sandbar Hulk is the highest level version of this quest in the game

You will log this quest whenever you get close enough to the Sandbar Hulk. Note that if you’ve done the Distress Signal quest, then you will have this in your log already, as that quest takes you right by the Ferronis Hulk. If you haven’t done it yet (there are high level enemies on the island), then you will need to venture to the Lavi Sandbar, specifically the Second Pillar Remnant landmark. From there, go up the hill to the northeast and continue past the sand pit, running up the next hill to the north to reach the Ferronis.

How to Complete The Sandbar Hulk Standard Quest

As with all of the other Ferronis Hulk quests in the game, you simply need to defeat all of the marked enemies in the surrounding area. There will be a total of 12 enemies you have to defeat, ranging from levels 61 to 63. None of the enemies should be too difficult, so it’s possible to get all of them at around level 60 or so. There will be three Hugya Aspars, one of which will be an Elite, two packs of three Aldera Hoxes each, and a pack of three Trilut Grebels. Note that one of the Hoxes and one of the Grebels will be an Elite.

(1 of 2) The Hoxes will be fought in packs of three

The Hoxes will be fought in packs of three (left), as will the Grebels, so be careful with attracting any more enemies (right)

The rest of the enemies will be normal ones. It should be noted that the Hoxes and Grebels are packs, and cannot be pulled for a one-on-one fight. You will be fighting all three of them at a time, so keep that in mind and avoid having any of the other enemies manage to sneak their way into those battles. As mentioned above, you will also want to be careful not to fall into any of the sand pits.

Once you have defeated all of the enemies, climb the ladder to the top of the Ferronis, open the hatch and spend 30 Ether Cylinders to get the thing functioning again.
