This is a guide for the “Restart” standard quest in Xenoblade Chronicles 3. It’ll navigate you through the necessary steps to testing the Auto-Lev.

Colony Lambda’s Auto-Levs still can’t be restarted. Talk to the head of engineering to find out why.
How to Start the Restart Standard Quest¶
To begin this quest, progress through the game until you reach Chapter 4, then you’ll need to head into the commander’s tents to start the optional hero quest, Unwavering Resolve. Upon completion, return to Colony Lambda’s and listen to people’s conversations by holding 
How To Lure Enemies in Xenoblade Chronicles 3¶
After you’ve unlocked the quest, enter Colony Lambda and take a left to find the Levnis’s stored near the shelters. Speak with Kitty and you’ll find out that she has managed to take the people of Colony Lambda off the target list, but she’ll like to test it out before activating it in the camp. Once the conversation has come to a close, fast travel to the Ore Stockpile Landmark in the Urayan Tunnels and speak with Kitty to see what the plan is.
Here you’ll find out that the Auto-Lev is no longer trying to kick our butts, so it’s time to move onto the next test which is seeing if it’ll attack enemies. Fast Travel to the Myma Gate Landmark and follow the path along to the west, then push the pillar down and cross the gap to trigger a scene. You’ll find some Kevsi Soldiers and Mio alerts them and they begin to make their way over to the Auto-Lev.

Once they arrive, help the Auto-Lev take them out. If you’re around Level 29, then you shouldn’t have too much of a problem taking them out, but make sure you focus on taking down the Rescuer first as they can heal up the others. Like always, make sure you use buffs, such as Attack Up to increase your damage output which will take them down quicker.
After you’ve dealt with the Kevsi Soldiers, return to Colony Lambda and speak with Kitty who can be found standing near the Auto-Levs. She’ll thank you for helping her test the Auto Lev and the quest will come to a close.
