Hogwarts Legacy is a game that is full of side activities, including several puzzles to keep you busy when you wander off from the game’s main story. One of the most common puzzle types you will encounter are treasure vaults, which are located in every region of the map. Since Cragcroftshire is a late-game area, the puzzles here can be particularly difficult. The guide below goes over where to find every Cragcroftshire treasure vault in Hogwarts Legacy and how to solve their puzzles.
All Treasure Vaults in Cragcroftshire and How to Solve Their Puzzles
There are a total of twelve treasure vaults located around Cragcroftshire in Hogwarts Legacy. Each of these treasure vaults has a different puzzle you will need to solve to get the treasure inside. As this is a late-game area in Hogwarts Legacy, you will need spells like Glacius and Alohomora III to open them all.
Manor Cape Waterfall Treasure Vault
The first treasure vault you come across when entering Cragcroftshire is hidden behind a waterfall. The cube to unlock is right up the river. Grab it using Accio, and don’t worry about it falling into the water.
When you get to the shore with the treasure vault pedestal, drag it onto land and use Confringo or Incendio to open the door. Head inside, but be warned, an Inferius that will drop down from the ceiling to give you a scare. Use fire magic to deal with him and then head deeper inside to grab the treasure chest.
Spider Web Blocked Treasure Vault in Cragcroftshire
The next treasure vault is right up the road and is simple to get into. You just need to use Confringo or Incendio to burn away the spiderweb that’s blocking the entrance.
Once this is gone, head inside and follow the hallway until you reach the treasure chest.
Underwater Treasure Vault in Cragcroftshire
This vault is located right down the road from the treasure vault that was blocked by a spider web. There is nothing blocking the entrance, simply walk inside and jump into the small pond. Dive down to enter the cavern.
Once inside, simply climb out of the water and grab the treasure chest.
Arch Puzzle Treasure Vault in Cragcroftshire
To get into this treasure vault, you will need to use Alohomora III. Once you are inside, you will find an arch.
Simply walk through it and then back around to reveal the treasure chest.
Once you are inside, grab the treasure chest.
Wingardium Levioso Cube Puzzle Treasure Vault in Cragcroftshire
Continue down the coast from the locked treasure vault to find the next one. This treasure vault is sealed by damaged doors. You can use Bombarda to open them. Once inside, you will find several pillars with a cube pedestal inside and a cube on your right outside of the pillars. Near the center of the pillar circle is a spot you can use Wingardium Levioso to move the puzzle cube through.
Once it drops down, hit it with Depulso to push it on the pedestal and get rid of the pillars. You will find the treasure chest right next to the puzzle cube.
Mountain Wizard Chess Treasure Vault in Cragcroftshire
The next treasure vault is located in the mountains. The puzzle cube you need to open the treasure vault is right down the road. The only catch is that it’s located inside of a spider nest, and you will need to defeat them to safely drag the cube back with Accio. When you do get it to its pedestal, use Confringo or Incendio to open the treasure vault door.
Once inside, you are met with a game of wizard chess. Target the movable vase with Accio and drag it to the board. Use transformation to turn it into a chess piece and place it directly across from the wizard piece.
After you do this, the treasure chest will appear.
Glacius Treasure Vault in Cragcroftshire
This is a simple vault, grab the puzzle cube right down from the door and drag it onto the pedestal. Once it’s there, hit it with Glacius, and the treasure vault door will open.
Once inside, follow the hallway down until you reach the treasure chest.
Cragcroft Wizard Chess Treasure Vault in Cragshirecroft
Right up from the village of Cragcroft, you will find a treasure vault with two Accio levers. Pull them to open the door and head inside to find another game of wizards chess. Use Accio to move the vase to the board and hit it with transformation to turn it into a chess piece.
Move the piece to the raised chess board piece at the front of the board to have it destroy the enemy piece and make the treasure chest drop down into the room.
Accio Puzzle Treasure Vault in Cragshirecroft
When you get to this puzzle vault, head inside until you reach the Accio lever puzzle. You will want to use Revelio to show which levers to pull.
Target them with Accio and pull them all to open the treasure chest room.
Lower Glacius Cube Puzzle in Cragcroftshire
For this next treasure vault, you simply need to grab the puzzle cube down the road with Accio and bring it to the pedestal. Once there, hit it with Accio to open the treasure vault.
Once it’s open, head inside and grab the treasure chest.

Level III Locked Treasure Vault in Cragcroftshire
This treasure vault is located right down from the last. This time you will need to use Alohomora III to open the door.
Once inside, you will be in a seemingly empty room. Use Revelio to show the walls that glow blue in the room. These will move when you get near them.
The one nearest to the door contains the treasure chest, walk up to it, and the chest will reveal itself to you.
Shore Treasure Vault in Cragshirecroft
This next vault is another easy one to solve. You will want to head to the coast to find this sealed treasure vault. Right beside the vault, there will be an Accio lever covered in vines. Use Incendio or Confringo to burn them away.
Once this is done, use Accio on the handle and head inside the treasure vault. Follow the hallway down until you reach the treasure chest.
