There are 3 Merlin Trials for you to solve in the 
Forbidden Forest. Completing these will increase your inventory capacity which is a necessity whilst exploring the Wizarding World, as you’ll be constantly picking new gear. Below you’ll find the necessary steps to find and complete all 3 Merlin Trials.

Forbidden Forest Merlin Trial Location #1

The first Forbidden Forest Merlin Trial can be found northeast of Jackdaw’s Tomb, so use the Jackdaw’s Tomb Floo Flame and you’ll find the circular platform. . Use Mallowsweet to begin the trial, Here you’ll need to cast 
Confringo on three torches before they drop, otherwise you’ll have to start again. They are located in the following areas:
- Northwest of the Mallowsweet Platform
- Southeast of the Mallowsweet Platform
- North of the Mallowsweet Platform

Head to this location on the map (left), and navigate the butterflies to the stones with 
Lumos. (right)
The second Forbidden Forest Merlin Trial can be found east of West Forbidden Forest, so use the West Forbidden Forest Floo Flame and you’ll find the circular platform located near a 
Hippogriff Den. Use Mallowsweet to begin the trial. Here you’ll need to stand near the nearby 
Butterflies and cast Lumos to cause them to follow you, then navigate them to the three pillars which are scattered around the platform.
Forbidden Forest Merlin Trial Location #3

The third Forbidden Forest Merlin Trial can be found northwest of the North Ford Entrance, so use the North Ford Entrance Floo Flame and you’ll find the circular platform. Use Mallowsweet to begin the trial, then you’ll want to shoot the stones off the pillars and then jump across all of them from the right to the left to complete the trial.
