EX Treasure: Phantasma

By
Seren Morgan-Roberts

This page will offer a walkthrough on the DLC side quest EX Treasure: Phantasma. This set of three hidden treasures is apart of the first DLC, which is available by purchasing the Expansion Pass for Breath of the Wild.

How to Start EX Treasure: Phantasma

To begin this quest, you’ll need to find clues to the whereabouts of the treasure chest. The clues are given to you by Misko’s Journal, found in Outpost Ruins, near the Forest of Time. Then, you’ll find the journal with the clues within the ruins, near a broken wall. The journal will give clues to this treasure as well as the following:

Once you’ve found the journal, you’ll receive the clue “Find these pieces at a battleground where brave souls tested their skill…at ceremonial grounds where royal guards are honored…and at the ruins where the soldiers of Hyrule gathered”.

Phantom Helmet

The Phantom Helmet is found in Coliseum Ruins, which is a fighting arena found in Central Hyrule, northwest of the Great Plateau. The enemies found at the Coliseum Ruins will be dependent on how many Divine Beasts you’ve defeated. There will always be a Lynel boss, but the type of Lynel will scale. If you’ve completed all Divine Beasts, you’ll be faced with a Silver-Maned Lynel, which is definitely a terrifying foe. Fear not though! It is definitely possible to sneak around the Coliseum to reach the chest without alerting the Lynel. The chest is found in the northwest quadrant of the Coliseum, near the outside wall. Simply track the Lynel’s movements, making sure only to move when he’s looking the other direction and run between the different columns that can be used for cover. Once you’ve gone past two columns, use Magnesis to locate the chest near the outer wall and then pull it out and towards you to then loot it.

(1 of 4) The Coliseum Ruins are found in Central Hyrule.

Phantom Armor

The Phantom Armor is found in Sacred Ground Ruins, which is directly south of Hyrule Castle. There is a Guardian patrolling this area so be careful! The chest you’re looking for can be found in the water on the southeastern side of the ruins, and you’ll need to use Magnesis to pull the chest out.

(1 of 3) The Phantom Armor is found in the waters at Sacred Ground Ruins.

Phantom Greaves

The final Phantom armor piece is found in Hyrule Garrison Ruins, right next to Central Tower. You’ll need to head over to the rusted Guardian next to a pile of debris and use Magnesis to highlight and pull out the treasure chest. Watch out in this area though as there are a couple of Guardian enemies on the prowl!

(1 of 4) The Phantom Greaves are found in a pile of debris at Hyrule Garrison Ruins.
