Bareeda Naag Shrine

By
Seren Morgan-Roberts

A guide on how to complete Bareeda Naag Shrine, found near Rito Village. To unlock this shrine, you’ll be required to complete The Ancient Rito Song shrine quest, which is only available once the Divine Beast Vah Medoh story quest has been completed.

How to Complete The Ancient Rito Song

To begin this quest, you’ll need to speak to Bedoli, a female Rito in Rito Village. She will share with you half of a song and tell you that her sister, Laissa, knows the second half. Go to the general store and Laissa will give you the second half if you can recite the first half. Here is the first half so you can answer her properly:

“The pride of the Rito, pillar in the sky. Its heart lights up, when the sun is high.”

Answer correctly and Laissa will give you the second half of the song. Now, you will need some sort of way to create fire. The easiest way is to grab yourself a torch, wood, and a fire weapon or flint. Or, a fire arrow works too.

(1 of 2) Paraglide to this pedestal in the distance

Paraglide to this pedestal in the distance (left), Chill out until noon if you didn’t arrive at the right time (right)

Go to the Akh Va’quot Shrine near the Rito Village and look south. You will see a lone orange platform. You will need to place fire on top of the platform around 12:30 - 12:35 PM.

You can accomplish this through methods like holding up a lit torch while standing on the platform. Or you could shoot a fire arrow onto the platform. Whatever way you choose, fire has to be on top of the platform at that narrow window of time. We preferred the torch method.

Once the correct time hits, the platform will change from orange to blue, and the Bareeda Naag Shrine will rise up nearby. At this point, the Shrine Quest is complete.

How to Complete Bareeda Naag: Cannon

To begin, select the remote bomb rune, and climb up the ladder to drop a bomb into the tube. When it’s detonated, it’ll activate the cannon and shoot right at the target ahead. This will activate the moving barricades. This time you’ll need to time when you detonate the bomb and trigger the cannon as you don’t want it to be blocked by the moving barricades. Once you’ve done that it’ll open up the gate to your right. Before you head through, turn to your left and throw a bomb at the suspicious stone wall. Behind the wall you’ll find a treasure chest containing a Falcon Bow with Attack Up +11.

Time your shot so as to avoid the moving barricades!

Once through the gate, you can either finish up the shrine and claim your spirit orb or you can head through into the next area to grab some more treasure!

How to Get the Bareeda Naag Treasure

With this cannon, you’ll not only have to time your cannon to avoid the barricades, but you’ll also find that the target is moving too! This might take you a few tries, but you might also want to try figuring out the movement patterns of the barricades and the target so you can predict when to shoot.

When you successfully shoot the target, a second gate will open and you can loot a treasure chest for a Diamond! When you’ve completed that, head over to the end of the shrine to finish up.

This time you’ll need to time your shot to not only avoid the moving barricades but also hit the moving target too!
